Seated Chest Press Machine
A seated chest press machine — guided pressing with no spotter required.
The advantage of a machine over free weights is safety at failure. You can push a set genuinely close to failure without a spotter and without risking a barbell on your chest, which makes it useful for training hard when you train alone.
Trains
- Chest — pressing through a fixed path
- Front delts and triceps as secondary movers
- Incline pressing depending on setup
Honest positioning
This is commercial-scale equipment. It takes real floor space and is a significant purchase. Free weights build more stabiliser strength; a machine lets you train to failure safely and is easier on the joints for many people. Both are legitimate — buy this if training alone to failure is what you want.
Assemble on level ground following the instructions, and check all fixings before first use and periodically afterwards. Do not exceed the rated capacity.
